Foundation Day Celebration of INST, Mohali

Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Govt. of India, visited the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali on April 3 and 4.

During this visit, Prof. Karandikar planted a sapling and had a meeting with Director and other faculty members of INST, who presented on overview of the activities, achievements and aspirations of the institute. Secretary provided his inputs and suggestions. He visited some key facilities like HPC-cluster, Single molecule facilities, electron microscopy, SAXS, Confocal Raman, AFM, FACS, PLD, PPMS, and analytic Chemistry Lab of the institute and interacted with faculty and students.

He also delivered the Foundation Day lecture, with the title Transforming landscape towards Viksit Bharat, in which he discussed the different endeavours of Govt. of India towards the directions. He responded to a number of questions from trolley and students in the audience. On this special day, Students, Faculty and Staff were presented with sports awards followed by a cultural evening
